About the author / illustrator

Felicity Brooks grew up near London and wrote her first story aged four about a toy named Moley Bear. Since then she has been to university, worked as an actor, a lexicographer and a teacher of trainee pilots. Since her late twenties he has been a children's author, writing about everything from emotions to dinosaurs. When not at her desk, she can be spotted taking long walks in the Oxfordshire countryside, curled up in front of the fire with a word puzzle, or foraging for wild mushrooms in the woods.

Mar Ferrero studied Fine Arts in Madrid She was a cartoonist for some time before becoming an illustrator, which she has now been doing for many years. She has illustrated books and puzzles for Spain, USA, France, United Kingdom, China and Korea. She also writes and publishes her own short stories. Her preferred means of transport is the bike.. She is learning to play the square tambourine, and when she grows up she wants to be a potter. She lives in a town in the mountains near Madrid with her partner, her two daughters, a dog, four chickens and five fish.
