About the Author

Miry Whitehill is a community activist and founder of Miry's List, a nonprofit organisation that helps resettle refugee families across the United States by connecting them with welcoming local communities. Her work has been widely recognised in national media. Our World is a Family is inspired by her real-life mission to show that every new neighbour deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated. The book is illustrated by Nomar Perez, whose vibrant and diverse artwork brings the story's warm message beautifully to life.
