Give the gift of giggles and counting practice with the most delightfully disgusting board book on the shelf!

What a Pest! A Creepy, Crawly Counting Book is a bold, graphic celebration of all things slimy, creepy, and crawly — from roaches to cicadas — counting from 1 to 10. With simple rhyming text and vividly coloured artwork, it's the perfect introduction to numbers for preschoolers who love a little ick factor. Each illustration is embellished with eye-catching iridescent foil, making this sturdy board book as irresistible to touch as it is to read.

  • Counting Made Fun: Simple, rhyming text guides little ones through the numbers 1 to 10 using a cast of wonderfully "pesky" critters to keep them engaged.
  • Stunning Iridescent Artwork: Foil embellishments on wings, webs, and slime make every page shimmer and sparkle — a true visual treat for curious eyes.
  • Built to Last: Sturdy board book construction is perfectly sized for small hands and stands up to the enthusiastic page-turning of even the most energetic preschoolers.
  • Award-Winning Design: Winner of the 2023 PubWest Design Award, this book is as beautifully crafted as it is fun to read aloud.

"Iridescent wings, webs, and slime create a visual treat in this counting book that features all kinds of pests from roaches to cicadas. […] Recommended." — School Library Journal
