About the Author

Joëlle Veyrenc is a children's writer from Paris, France. The Paper Bridge is her debut picture book. The book is illustrated by Seng Soun Ratanavanh, a French illustrator and painter born in Laos, who graduated from the National School of Fine Arts (ENSBA, Paris) and regularly exhibits her work across France and abroad. She taught herself the art of kirigami specially to create the remarkable blend of 2D and 3D paper illustrations that make The Paper Bridge so extraordinary.
